Dawn Garisch
Dawn Garisch has published five novels and a collection of poetry. She has also had a short play and short film produced, and authored television scripts and magazine features. Three of her novels have been published in the UK. The novel ‘Trespass’ was short-listed for the Commonwealth prize in Africa (2010). Her poem ‘Miracle’ was awarded the EU Sol Plaatjie Poetry Award (2011). 'Eloquent Body', a non-fiction book about Dawn's journeys in writing and medicine was published by Modjaji (2012). Her workshops on writing and creative method offer participants a profound shift into trusting the unknown. She a practising medical doctor and lives in Cape Town, South Africa.
